Offered by Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
Tourism businesses and community organizations across Atlantic Canada are under growing pressure to refresh their offerings, extend their seasons, and compete for travellers looking for unique, high-quality experiences. The Tourism Growth Program is designed to help meet that challenge by supporting new and enhanced tourism products that strengthen local economies and attract visitors year-round. Delivered in Atlantic Canada by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, the program supports projects in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.
This initiative focuses on investments that add real value to the region’s tourism sector, from developing innovative visitor experiences to upgrading technology, infrastructure, or services that improve competitiveness and sustainability. Projects that encourage travel beyond peak seasons, drive visitation into rural or remote communities, or highlight Indigenous tourism experiences are a strong fit. Funding support varies by project and is intended to offset a meaningful portion of development costs, making it easier for businesses and organizations to move forward with growth-oriented plans they might otherwise delay.
The Tourism Growth Program is open to a wide range of tourism-focused businesses, Indigenous-led initiatives, and non-profit organizations working to enhance Atlantic Canada’s appeal to domestic and international travellers. For operators considering a new attraction, experience, or expansion, understanding how this program aligns with your goals could be a valuable next step.
