Offered by Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada
Turning a tourism idea into a sustainable business can be challenging, especially without access to experienced guidance and practical planning tools. Indigenous entrepreneurs across Canada looking to launch or strengthen a tourism or hospitality venture can find structured, hands-on support through the Tourism Entrepreneur Accelerator Program. Delivered by the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada, this national program focuses on building real-world business skills through a guided learning and mentorship experience rather than traditional cash-based funding.
The program, often referred to as Firecircle, walks participants through a five-step journey made up of 25 workshops delivered online and through live sessions. Entrepreneurs receive sustained mentorship and easy-to-follow resources that help shape everything from their tourism vision and brand story to operations, product design, and financial fundamentals like pricing, marketing, and cash flow. It’s designed for both early-stage founders with an idea and existing small businesses that need help refining their offering, standing out in a competitive tourism market, or working toward recognized standards of excellence.
Because the program is fully funded for participating businesses, it lowers the barrier to accessing high-quality business education and expert advice. Entrepreneurs who complete the accelerator earn a certificate and leave with greater clarity, confidence, and a practical roadmap for growth. For Indigenous tourism operators exploring whether this kind of guided, mentorship-driven support fits their goals, learning more about the program details can be a valuable next step.
