Offered by Government of Canada, Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce ( CQCC )
For LGBTQ+-owned businesses looking to break into larger corporate supply chains, visibility and credibility can be just as important as price and capability. The CQCC — Supplier Diversity initiative is designed to help Canadian businesses that are majority LGBTQ+-owned turn their diversity into a competitive advantage by connecting them directly with organizations committed to inclusive procurement. Rather than focusing on traditional cash grants, this program emphasizes access, relationships, and opportunities that can lead to long-term revenue growth.
Delivered nationally by the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce with support from the Government of Canada, the program centres on certification and supplier matching. Certified businesses gain exposure to purchasing opportunities with corporations, government bodies, and institutions that actively seek diverse suppliers and often have internal targets tied to supplier diversity. Participants can also engage directly with procurement professionals, helping shorten sales cycles and open doors that are typically difficult for small and mid-sized businesses to access on their own. Support is non-repayable and tailored to the needs and scale of each business, making it relevant for both growing SMEs and more established enterprises.
For LGBTQ+-owned companies that meet certain requirements and want to strengthen their position in the B2B market, this program can play a meaningful role in expansion. Exploring the full details can help determine how certification and supplier connections might support your business goals.
