CIT — Future Ready

Keeping teams skilled in fast-moving technologies can be a challenge for Ontario businesses, especially as digital tools and automation reshape how work gets done. CIT — Future Ready was created to help small and medium-sized companies invest in training that strengthens their workforce and supports long-term competitiveness. Delivered by the Ontario Centre of Innovation, this initiative helps offset the cost of upskilling and reskilling employees in areas that are becoming essential across many industries.

The program is geared toward Ontario-based SMEs working with, or supplying solutions built on, critical technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, advanced networks, and other emerging fields. Funding of up to around $10,000 is available on a cost-sharing basis, making it easier for businesses to move forward with targeted training initiatives. Eligible projects often focus on preparing staff for new technology adoption, supporting strategic growth plans, or helping teams better navigate Ontario’s innovation ecosystem through skills development and networking opportunities.
