Agriculture Awareness Initiative Program (AAIP)

Public understanding and trust are becoming just as important to Saskatchewan agriculture as production itself. For organizations and businesses looking to engage the public, address misconceptions, or highlight the sustainability of modern farming, the Agriculture Awareness Initiative Program (AAIP) offers targeted funding support to bring those stories to life. Delivered by the Government of Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Agriculture, this program helps support projects that educate priority audiences and strengthen agriculture’s social licence across the province.

AAIP is well suited for agri-food businesses, nonprofits, industry groups, and other Saskatchewan-based organizations with ideas for campaigns, events, educational materials, or creative outreach that showcase how agriculture is evolving. Approved projects can receive non-repayable funding covering a significant portion of eligible costs, with contributions reaching up to around $50,000 per project. Funding is provided on a pre-approval basis, meaning projects are reviewed in advance and reimbursed once completed, making planning and clear project scope especially important.
